What is MAZCAP?

MAZCAP is a thin, impact-absorbing insert that fits under a baseball cap designed to legitimately reduce the risk of injury to baseball players from a line drive or comebacker hit at the front or side of your head. It is invisible in appearance but powerful in performance.

How does MAZCAP help reduce the risk of injury?

MAZCAP uses patented VECTORWARE technology—a rigid shell with a gel-based cushion that deforms upon contact dispersing energy away from the impact, protecting vulnerable areas of the head without being bulkly or unsightly.

Who can wear MAZCAP?

MAZCAP was created for all levels: youth leagues, high school, college, and professional baseball. It fits pitchers, fielders, umpires, and base coaches. One size fits many.

Is MAZCAP comfortable?

Yes. MAZCAP is lightweight, thin, soft, and feels natural under a standard cap. Players often forget they’re even wearing it.
Note: MAZCAP fits well under most stretch-to-fit hats. Generally, a stretch-to-fit hat one size larger than the MAZCAP works well. Fitted hats also work well with MAZCAP. A fitted hat that is slightly larger than your MAZCAP will be needed to fit over your MAZCAP. Specific sizing information will be provided on the website soon.

How do I know it works?

The science is straight forward. Upon impact, the cushion deforms away from the impact point consuming energy that would have otherwise accelerated the player’s head. The cushion deformation results in drastically reducing the force transferred into the player’s head dramatically reducing impact severity. MAZCAP is designed to pass NOCSAE testing and legitimately reduces the risk of serious head injury from line drives or comebackers hit to the NOCSAE front, front-boss, and side locations.
